Proving SnapFit Has Value

Aug 18 2025

I’m starting to build conviction that SnapFit does actually provide value. Thank fuck. The biggest contributors to this are that I took the time to do content marketing and therefore clarified my own thinking, and I also successfully used SnapFit for the first time.

Now I need others to tell me that the app provides them value through either a message, an app review, or repeated usage of the app. Repeated usage of the app in its current state would mean that the user began their free trial (i.e. subscribed).

I need to get an initial batch of users onto SnapFit in the fastest and easiest way possible. Fastest and easiest because if the app doesn’t provide value, I need to iterate and have a repeatable way to get new batches of users.

There are free channels; Reddit, FB Groups, LinkedIn, X, Discord, Slack, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube.

There are paid channels; Meta Ads, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, Influencer Marketing.

Free channels generally require significant effort with no guarantee of new users. Paying money might be the easiest and most fruitful option given it’s usually paid based on performance (e.g. pay per click, pay per 1000 views).

The problem is that I’m not interested in doing marketing. Any high effort marketing would likely result in a lot of procrastination and would take a long time. Time that I don’t necessarily have. If I can avoid it or reduce the effort, then I should take that route.

Paying $100 per iteration cycle to test if the app is valuable is not a horrible use of resources. Especially at least once to see how many users it brings in.

I have a strong feeling that influencer marketing and clippings (just found out today about this term) will be the answer to marketing SnapFit. This one is on a slow burn as every day I learn a bit more about it and how to do it.

So, the plan going forward is to undertake some form of paid ads while doing some form of content marketing across LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.

This content marketing helps clarify my own thinking, planning, and therefore self-belief while hopefully bringing in a few users.

Also on my mind is to start learning clipping myself, or to find an easy way to make short-form content that is image/text based (i.e. easy and quick to make for someone like me).
