My Software Journey

  • Learned how to code at 14.
  • Completed a 10 week game development course at 16.
  • Published a game to the iOS app store at 17.
  • Got my first software job at a startup during uni and learned what the Cloud was.
  • Graduated from USYD with a Comp Sci degree.
  • Worked on cloud infra and release tooling at Canva.
  • Technical Founder of an EdTech startup (raised a $1.1M pre-seed round). We were early adopters of GPT-3, building a product that converted lecture slides and study notes into formative resources in seconds.
  • Worked at a Series A startup revamping their ML inference infra hosted on AWS globally. This work freed up enough capital to hire another two engineers.

Other Things About Me

  • Trained Karate for four years (started when I was 12), MMA for a year, and Krav Maga for two years. I also did Tricking (Martial Arts + Gymnastics) for about a year. I can still do a backflip!
  • I started reading self-development books when I was 16. "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" is a good example. Now I'm mostly into psychology, philosophy, stoicism, business, ...
  • I once had a skydiving licence and have ~50 jumps on record. During winter 2021 while everyone was locked inside because of COVID-19, I was able to drive an hour outside of Sydney and partake in this sport.
  • I have been training Calisthenics since the start of 2023.
  • I love techno music. If you really want to get a taste of what I listen to most of the time, try searching on Spotify for Dr Peacock, Sefa, or Odium, to name a few.
