Building SnapFit

Aug 13 2025

People commonly fail to work out because they either don’t know what to do in the gym or get bored with their routines. What people need is clarity and variety. That’s why I built SnapFit.

SnapFit allows people to turn their space into a gym. Whether it’s a gym, bedroom, living room, hotel room, or park, any space can become a place to work out.

This is the app and the hypothesis behind why it will work.

Fortunately, I know how to code, and building it comes easily to me.

Unfortunately, I don’t know marketing, and I find it challenging.

I’m really excited to launch SnapFit because it gives me another chance at giving marketing a go. So, this is my plan.

I’m going to start with what I feel most comfortable and confident in: written content. This content will share my backstory for why I’m building this app and focus on SnapFit’s benefits rather than just its features.

I’ll launch on LinkedIn, X, and a few subreddits at first. I’ll continue to post in subreddits and try to find relevant FB groups that I could post in as well.

This launch will be to get my initial batch of users onto the product and to prove that the app provides value. If users are coming back after a couple of days or a week and creating more than one workout on the app then I will assume the app provides value. Similarly, if people are completing workout sessions, I’ll take this as another good sign.

After the value has been proven, I will research and start to undertake influencer marketing.

That’s the rough plan so far.

As an aside, a “growth strategy” if you will, is that I will implement a sharing feature in the app such that I can take random people’s photos on social media and reply to them with a photo or a link to my app instantly showing them the value and getting them onboarded.
